Your Guide to Flawless Skin :

Sep 11, 2007

It’s not until you are older that you begin to become concerned about keeping your skin looking youthful . Your mother always told you to moisturize and stay out of the sun -- sometimes you followed her advice, but most of the time you didn’t. You’ve read magazine articles on skincare, but glossed over them when most of the products cost a mere fortune to purchase.

Are you ready to sink your teeth into a new lifestyle, one that will help you drop pounds and improve your health? Try one of our 24 super diets. To get the ball rolling, simply click here and fill out a free profile.

But skincare becomes increasingly important as you move from your 30s to 40s and beyond. The youthful dewy look just isn’t there anymore. You look in the mirror... In fact, it can get down right confusing.

During my search, I checked out department store makeup counters, specialty shops and some of my favorite drug stores products. I even asked several “older” women (with nice-looking skin) about their skincare regime. I found out some interesting stuff to share with you!

Here is my collection of tips for daily skin care. One important theme I kept hearing over and over from the books to the specialists I spoke with is: It’s not until you target your skin from both the inside and outside that you will begin to see long-lasting results.

You will keep you skin flawless when you:

Eat fresh vegetables and fruits daily. Get plenty of vegetables and fruits in your diet (the more colorful, the healthier) along with whole grains and lean meats. Avoid too many bad fats, and buy foods in their most natural, unprocessed state. Need recipe ideas? Try my personal favorite cookbook for healthy recipes, Saving Dinner, by Leanne Ely. It has delicious recipes that are easy to fix and very nutritional for your family.
