Fresh Face, Clean Planet: Eco-Friendly Beauty :

Aug 25, 2007

What was once a buzzword for environmentalists, “eco-friendly” has now moved into the mainstream and is picking up some serious pace. The buzz started with all-natural and organic foods, moved to clothes and now has hit the beauty product market.

So what is all the rage about?

Well, a product that is eco-friendly is made without pesticides so harmful chemicals don't leak into the soil, into your product and, consequently, onto your face.

Yves Rocher is also creating fabulous natural products. They use more than 150 active plant ingredients to create some of their products. Even their factory is a “green building,” conserving energy and enforcing policies for a quality environment while reducing waste. And despite what you might think about eco-friendly products, these products are very affordable! One of their best sellers, the Laotian Lotus shower gel , is only $3.
