For Karen M., dropping 140 pounds from her 5-foot-3 body represents much more then just a new number on the scale; it signifies the beginning of new experiences.

Almost three years ago, the Illinois resident was dangerously overweight at 279 pounds. Today, she’s become an example of perseverance and success.
